2011 Aggieland Fiesta Details:

Date/Time: May 9, 2011 - 5pm - 9pm

Location: Texas Hall of Fame

Dress: Business Dress/Casual

How Much: $15 per ticket (Kids under 12 are free)

What: DJ, Fajita Dinner, Kids Activities and Cash Bar

What to Bring: Lots of cash for the great items that have been donated for our silent auction.

When: The drawing will be at the Aggieland Fiesta on May 9, 2011 in between 6 and 8pm at the Texas Hall of Fame. You do NOT have to be present to win.

History of the Aggieland Fiesta

One of the first things that we wanted to do was to have a fundraiser so that the club would have money to develop and sponsor charity events. One of our former members, Jose Montemayor, owns several Mexican restaurants in the area. He donated the use of one of his restaurants as well as the food and labor for our club to sponsor a Mexican Fiesta. It proved to be very successful! Our first years profit was $3500, and the club was exuberant, joyful and thankful that we had earned our first seed money to start our charity programs. The first Mexican Fiesta was in 1996 and continued as an annual fundraiser sponsored by Jose' until 2005. 

Our Club is very appreciative of Mr. Jose' Montemayor for his commitment to the Rotary goal of “Service Above Self”.

In 2006 our club started a new tradition with a new location at The Tap on Harvey Road.
